Delete your PIC account

How to delete your account

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. PIC does not offer reactivation or individual account recovery. Data may nevertheless remain temporarily recoverable within the database provider’s point-in-time recovery window, as described below.

  1. Open PIC and go to Settings.
  2. Tap "Delete account".
  3. Confirm your password.
  4. Type the confirmation word shown on screen, then tap "Delete my account".

What is deleted

When you confirm, your identity and stored sign-in records are deleted immediately, and your profile and polls stop appearing in PIC. Photos and the remaining account-related data listed below are removed by a background sweep that continues after you are signed out.

What is kept, and why

A limited set of records is retained for aggregate product metrics, poll integrity, safety, legal, audit and email-delivery reasons. Some references are replaced or cleared, some safety and audit records may keep an opaque reference that no longer resolves to a profile, and email-suppression records keep the address needed to prevent further messages.

The content-free poll records, votes, interaction events and account-creation record have no scheduled deletion date. They are kept only for as long as needed to preserve reconcilable historical counts of accounts, polls, votes and activity. The replacement reference cannot be used to access or restore your deleted account.

For a short period after deletion, data may remain recoverable within our database provider’s point-in-time recovery window. It is removed as that window rolls forward.

Your username is temporarily reserved so nobody can immediately register it and be mistaken for you.
